The flue is the conduit inside a chimney that is designed to transport the products of
combustion; it is typically made from tile or metal.
Once a chimney liner becomes cracked or damaged and has reached the end of its useful life because of normal wear and tear, water damage or from the result of a chimney fire, and is no longer able to contain the products of combustion, it must be relined.
This applies to all chimneys in your house oil/gas appliances as well as wood burning appliances.![]()
